Spring Break begins Monday February 27th. That means your kinetic typography project will be due on Wednesday February 22nd. It's a project each of you have known about since last semester. We even discussed it in Advanced Typography prior to the Christmas break when I encouraged each of you to jump into Lynda.com over the holidays and start learning the process of moving type around on the screen. It's been 5 weeks since this project was assigned and now it's time to finish it up.
Do what you are capable of doing. However, I'm expecting finished work from each of you by Wednesday February 22nd.
Phillip Webb was kind enough to give all of you 24/7 access to 468 to work whenever you want up until the project is due. This 24/7 access has always been reserved for the seniors. All you need to do is swipe your panther card and you should be able to get access into the room. Please make sure the door is closed at all times and that you do not eat inside the room.
I plan to invite back Justin and Alvaro from CNN International to be a part of this critique.
We have to get moving on the MODA project as well.
Each of you need to start putting logos up on your blogs for "Skate it or Hang it!?"
You need to be aware as you design these logos that they will in some way fit alongside or near the MODA logo.
You will start out with logos and move into a Press Kit of sorts that includes your logo and the information for the exhibition. First, Start with logo designs.
We'll work on this project throughout March and I have hopes of moving on to working with The Game Show Network in April. That will give us 3 large projects for the semester. You need these projects for your portfolios and your resumes.
Just plan ahead. Do your best work.
